JROTC IN THE CHCORI BATTALION

The CHCORI Battalion Army JROTC unit is a unique organization, stationed at the Spotsylvania Career and Technical Center. It has cadets from three high schools: Chancellor, Courtland, and Riverbend. These schools are called companies. Cadets may attain positions in either their respective company or in the battalion headquarters. Regardless of their school, every cadet has the opportunity to advance. The battalion takes its name by combining the first two letters from each of their respected schools; (CH) Chancellor, (CO) Courtland, and (RI) Riverbend. Forming "CHCORI." Officially, the battalion is sponsored by Courtland High School; therefore, we are the Courtland High School JROTC CHCORI Battalion.

CHCORI Battalion mission: motivate cadets to be better citizens by providing a safe, spirited, supportive environment that fosters physical and intellectual growth through diverse activities and challenges that combine to instill the qualities necessary for being productive individuals in today’s society.
